T&BB decided to delve into the reasons for this sales success story by interviewing the top management of Stuart Beeton, Head of Sales & Marketing and Peter Murphy, Managing Director of Isuzu Truck UK.

The Polish company sold a total of 1,456 vehicles in 2023, of which 82% were fitted with alternative drivelines, according to figures reported during an online press conference in March.

The parent of specialty truck brands including McNeilus and Pierce reported a recovery in its income for 2023 compared to the year before, announcing an adjusted net income of USD657.2m (2022: USD237.6m).

The Swedish manufacturer announced its financial results for 2023, reporting net sales of SEK552.8bn and an adjusted operating income of SEK77.6bn.

The parent of DAF, Kenworth, and Peterbilt announced record sales revenue of USD35.13bn in 2023, a 22% improvement on its performance in the year before (USD28.82bn).

The Krone Commercial Vehicle Division generated EUR1.7 billion in revenues, an increase of 22.9% compared with the previous year of EUR1.374 billion.

The parent of MAN, Scania, and Navistar reported record vehicle sales of 338,200 units for 2023, a 10.7% improvement on the year prior (30,500 units).

Of the two divisions (CVS and RVS), Knorr-Bremse said the Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) Division profited from strong positive market developments resulting in an 11.5% increase in revenue to EUR 4,180.2 million (2022: EUR 3,750.0 million). Order intake was up 6.5% at EUR 4,212.2 million (2022: EUR 3,954.3 million).

The company announced record 2023 sales figures of USD 10.6 billion, an increase of 4% compared with 2022 figures of USD 10.2 billion. Adjusted EBITA rose by USD 145 million, to USD 845 million in 2023 (2022: USD 700 million). Financially, the company is healthy with an operating cash flow of USD 476 million and a sales backlog of USD 950 million.
