West Bengal Transport Corporation has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bengal Gas Co to set up CNG re-fuelling stations for the operation of a fleet of buses converted from diesel to CNG.

Tata Motors supplied 50 Tata/Marcopolo-bodied CNG buses to the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation, which marked the first time the state has taken buses powered using natural gas. 

VECV has delivered 50 units of its 24-seat Eicher CNG AC buses to transport operator, PMPML, the first time the joint venture has delivered gas buses to the city of Pune.

With sales of Scania CNG (natural and/or biomethane) trucks heading northwards of 150 units, one operator on its own now accounts for 50 of these sales.
