At Interschutz 2022, ZF showcased a modular drive system with electric motor, automatic transmission, and transfer case, and a new EcoLife transmissions system - both designed for offroad use.

The I-Shift gearbox is currently fitted with all heavy-duty Volvo trucks as standard, but new vehicles will come with an improved version with faster clutch actuation resulting in a shorter torque interruption and smoother gear shifting.

Allison Transmission Inc, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, has announced an agreement with Mack Trucks Inc, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. Under the agreement, Allison’s 3000 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission will be offered in the Mack Class 6 and Class 7 MD truck series.

Allison Transmission Inc, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, has unveiled a new 96,000-square-foot facility at its headquarters. The centre features enhanced technology development and validation capabilities, and will also consolidate teams from multiple locations into a single facility.

The TX-18 series, which reportedly provides improved driveability and efficiency, is designed to work exclusively with MX engines in heavy-duty Peterbilt trucks.

New Anthem and Pinnacle trucks will now come with Mack Predictive Cruise Control with Econo-Roll to promote greater efficiency and fuel savings.
