Cummins Inc, based in Columbus, Indiana, has announced a partnership with Japanese CV OEM Isuzu Motors Ltd, based in Tokyo. Under the terms of the agreement, the two firms will produce a prototype medium-duty, battery electric truck to demonstrate in North America.

Columbus, Indiana-based powertrain manufacturer, Cummins Inc, has completed a 50% equity acquisition of Momentum Fuel Technologies from Rush Enterprises.

Loveland, Colorado-based EV retrofitter and manufacturer Lightning eMotors Inc, has appointed Brian Barron to the role of Chief Manufacturing Officer. Barron will lead the manufacturing, vehicle assembly, and procurement functions as Lightning scales to meet its growth targets.

Kenworth Truck Co (a subsidiary of Paccar Inc), headquartered in Kirkland, Washington, has debuted its fully electric T680E Class 8 truck at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The T680E is the first Class 8 electric truck that the firm has produced.

Announcing total deliveries of 87 fuel cell powered heavy-duty commercial vehicles in 2021 under various commercial sales agreements, Rochester, New York-based manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cell commercial vehicles, Hyzon Motors Inc, stated the figure narrowly exceeded the forecast of 85 vehicles that the firm set in February 2021.

Ebusco Holding N.V., based in Deurne, Netherlands, has announced that Munich bus operator Stadtwerke München has ordered 14 Ebusco 2.2 18-metre buses. The delivery is scheduled for the first half of 2023.

Clarience hopes to integrate Fleetilla with its existing Road Ready telematics brand to develop what it calls the ‘next generation’ of telematics products.

Diesel fuel filtration specialist DAVCO Technology LLC of Saline, Michigan, a subsidiary of Southfield, Michigan-based Clarience Technologies LLC, has announced it is expanding into electrical components manufacturing.

BorgWarner Inc, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan has invested in Silicon Valley-based software and controls company Qnovo Inc. BorgWarner is the lead investor in Qnovo’s multi-million-dollar Series C funding round.

General Motors Corporation subsidiary BrightDrop has announced that it has signed an agreement with superstore giant Walmart to reserve 5,000 of its EV600 and EV410 electric delivery vans. The first vehicles are expected for delivery in 2023.

Ballard Power Systems Inc, based in Vancouver, Canada, has announced the sale of 31 fuel cell modules, totalling 3MW of power, to an unnamed global construction, electric power, and off-road equipment manufacturer. The modules are expected to be delivered in 2022 and 2023.
