Investment is for initiatives in two primary locations: The Randon branded semi-trailer and railway wagon assembly plant in Caxias do Sul and the Motion Control manufacturing facility, also in Caxais do Sul, which operates under the Frasle Mobility brand name.

Some 1,000 units are to be made up of approximately 800, FCmove-HD 70 kW and 200, FCmove-HD+ 100 kW engines which will be integrated into the Solaris 12-metre and 18-metre buses. Included in the contract are after-market and extended warranty services. Delivery will occur from 2024 to 2027.

Using EasyMile’s autonomous driving technology and Rocsys’ ‘ROC-1’ hands-free charger, the two companies plan to completely automate the process of recharging a self-driving electric vehicle.

Autocar Chairman, Andrew Taitz said that setting up hands-free charging at terminals would improve efficiency and therefore boost productivity in yard operations.
