The pilot line is housed in a new facility, dubbed ‘ONE Circle’, which is intended to support up to 20 GWh of annual production capacity when ramped up.

Called Ruta Elétrica Andina the project proposes construction of battery charging stations along the Andean highway at intervals of every 200 km – initially the project is to run from Cartagena in northern Colombia to Ipiales, on the border with Ecuador.

A press statement from the EU Commission read: “The proposed amendment introduces a 100% zero-emission target for urban buses by 2035, while setting an intermediate target of 85% for this category by 2030. The Council agreed to exempt inter-urban buses from this target."
