San Francisco's Municipal Transportation Agency has ordered three electric buses as part of a trial, adding to the fleet of hybrid vehicles aimed at tackling air pollution in the inner city.

Currently, there are no regulations outlining the use of battery fire suppression systems on electric commercial vehicles. Increasing demand for electric buses is beginning to highlight the need for increased regulation.

The Lion Electric Company has received a conditional purchase order for 200 fully electric Lion-C school buses for use in Southern Ontario.
