Compression system specialist Haskel International, a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand, based in Sunderland, UK, has released a white paper stating the firm’s outlook towards hydrogen fuel and its role in decarbonising heavy goods vehicles. In the report, Haskel examines hydrogen infrastructure funding and global projects that are currently underway.

Shell plc, now headquartered in London, UK, and BYD Auto Co Ltd of Shenzhen, China, have signed a cooperation agreement focusing on the supply of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Europe and China. As part of the agreement, the two firms will also establish a joint venture to develop EV charging networks in China.

Finnish electric charging provider Kempower Oyj has announced it is bringing its Kempower C- and S-Series range of electric chargers to the North American market.

Hexagon Purus ASA, based in Ålesund, Norway, has been selected to supply hydrogen tanks to New Flyer Industries, based in Winnipeg, Canada, for use in its Xcelsior CHARGE H2 fuel cell transit bus. The total value of the contract is estimated at around USD2 million.

Vancouver, British Columbia-based First Hydrogen Corp has announced that its green hydrogen van will begin demonstrator testing in June 2022. First Hydrogen has partnered with Ballard Power Systems Inc of Vancouver, Canada, and the UK subsidiary of AVL List GmbH, AVL Powertrain UK Ltd of Hartlebury, to provide the drive components for the vehicle. The two demonstrator vans have been sourced from MAN SE, based in Munich, Germany, and are currently at AVL’s UK headquarters.

Air Liquide SAS, based in Paris, has received support from the French State, subject to a final validation by the European Commission, to launch its Normand’Hy large scale renewable hydrogen project. The electrolyser will have an initial 200MW capacity and will provide renewable hydrogen to the TotalEnergies Normandy refinery.

Wave has announced the acquisition of a new 12,000 square-foot facility next to its headquarters which will enable the company to expand manufacturing capacity of its induction charging products.

In March, the Brazilian Government in capitol city of Brasília, agreed the launch of a Methane Reduction Programme under an agreement called the Special Regime of Incentives for the Development of Infrastructure (REIDI) to encourage production and sustainable use of biomethane in Brazil.

First Hydrogen Corp, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, has announced the establishment of a new division, titled First Hydrogen Energy. The new division will be responsible for leading the group’s business in the production and distribution of green hydrogen.

EO Charging (EO), based in London, has mutually terminated its August 2021 agreement with First Reserve Sustainable Growth Corp (NASDAQ: FRSG) that would have seen EO listed on the NASDAQ exchange through a merger previously announced agreement in September 2021. Both parties decided to terminate the Business Combination Agreement because of unfavourable market conditions.

ChargePoint Holdings Inc, based in Campbell, California, has expanded into the European fleet market through a partnership with Picnic, an online-only supermarket that serves around 200 cities across the Netherlands, Germany, and France with its fleet of over 2,300 electric vehicles.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), has announced it has selected a consortium to develop and implement an inductive charging vehicle pilot. The agency claims it is the first of its kind in the USA. Electreon¹, a provider of wireless charging solutions for EVs will lead the group, with support from partners such as Ford Motor Co.
