The company was previously occupying a shared facility with Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars. The new premises was already home to Daimler Truck UK’s parts logistics centre with a 140,000-square-foot warehouse. 

The company added Canadian bus manufacturer Letenda to its client list. Forsee announced that its Zen Plus battery systems will be integrated into Letenda’s 9-metre Electrip zero-emission buses in Q4 2024. According to Forsee, use of NMC lithium-ion cells allows the battery pack to offer up to 5,000 charging cycles, increasing its TCO.

FPT has appointed Rotator Oy as an authorised distributor of its full range of engines in Finland. Headquartered in Pirkkala, Rotator Oy is a machine import and after-sales company offering product sales, spare parts, technical support and maintenance services to the Finnish market.

According to Global Vice President  Eric Guter, each high-capacity station will be able to refuel 200 heavy-duty trucks or 2000 cars per day. This is a strategic move by the company (the largest supplier of hydrogen in the world) which already operates six hydrogen refuelling stations in Southern California. California was chosen due to the large green State subsidies available.

Michelin has added the Smart Predictive Tyre feature to the MICHELIN Connected Fleet suite of digital services in the UK. The system monitors tyre pressure (TPMS), wear and degradation using smart sensors to provide real-time alerts that help fleet operators improve safety and efficiency, specifically regarding scheduled maintenance.

Lynton Refrigeration, based in Manchester has invested GBP 2 million, adding 5 additional engineers whilst Robson Refrigeration in Hull has hired 12 new members of staff.

The companies are set to integrate Hexagon’s NG/RNG systems with Brudeli’s plug-in PowerHybrid technology to allow fleet operators the ability to maintain diesel ICE duty cycles while providing fuel cost savings and complying with Near Zero Emission Vehicles. Targeting the class 7 and 8 North American truck market, the partnership also aims to help OEMs achieve their various decarbonisation goals.

The new sustainable-material demonstration truck tyre used 63% sustainable material with 15 sustainable ingredients across 20 tyre components. Furthermore, it was manufactured with four different carbon blacks sourced from plant-based oils rather than crude oil.

The ten vehicles owned by Golden Tours, are all Volvo B5 double-deckers which will feature Equipmake’s zero-emission drivetrain and a 327-kWh capacity battery pack, providing a 193 km (120 miles) range.
