Following its acquisition of Graz, Austria-based cryogenic storage specialist Cryoshelter GmbH announced at ACT Expo in Long Beach, California, Truck & Bus Builder spoke to Hexagon Group to discuss its strategy for renewable fuels in the North American and European markets.

The American firm has announced its intention to acquire the commercial vehicle division of Siemens - manufacturing motors and inverters for electric vehicles - for approximately USD190m in cash, with the sale expected to occur by the end of the year.

The zero-emission division of Hexagon Group, Hexagon Purus ASA, based in Oslo, Norway, has entered into an agreement to acquire 40% of Cryoshelter GmbH’s liquid hydrogen business, based in Graz, Austria.

As it happens, so is its parent company SAF-Holland SE, which acquired Orlandi in 2018. Robert Bosch GmbH is set to acquire Five AI Ltd, a start-up specialising in autonomous driving software based in Cambridge, UK. The acquisition adds to Bosch’s autonomous mobility portfolio following the announcement that it was acquiring German firm Altatec GmbH earlier in April of this year.

Orlando, Florida-based Luminar Technologies Inc has announced it is to acquire a high-performance laser chip manufacturer, Freedom Photonics LLC, based in Santa Barbara, California.

EO Charging (EO), based in London, has mutually terminated its August 2021 agreement with First Reserve Sustainable Growth Corp (NASDAQ: FRSG) that would have seen EO listed on the NASDAQ exchange through a merger previously announced agreement in September 2021. Both parties decided to terminate the Business Combination Agreement because of unfavourable market conditions.
