The new EiV 9 is a 9-metre, 16-ton gross vehicle weight low entry city bus, powered using a Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor offering an output of 235Kw @ 1330 rev/min fitted with lithium ion NMC batteries in modular battery packs for different storage capacity options.

The order is for an 11-ton e-truck - the second generation of which is undergoing testing and should be ready for production by the end of the year.

4 Gen Logistics will use its new fleet of ‘VNR Electric’ Class 8 trucks in operations throughout the Inland Empire and between the Port of Long Beach and distribution centres in the region.

The operator will reportedly take an initial delivery of 11 vehicles at the end of this year for deployment in the city, while the remaining 35 will follow in 2025 for use in the local Spree-Neiße district.

According to Shyft, the vehicle was able to operate on extended 8-10 hour routes under “challenging conditions” during pilot testing, including high temperatures up to 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Ebusco 3.0 18-metre articulated city bus is designed for urban and regional transport operations and has a capacity for 150 passengers. It is powered with a choice of cobalt-free LFP 350+ and 500+ kWh battery packs, offering a range of up to  700 km.

Tata Daewoo has resumed exports to Algeria under the Daewoo brand after the country’s Ministry of Trade began easing restrictions on vehicle imports last year.

Tiger’s custom design for the retail giant is a tri-axle box van, with a double-deck interior featuring a three-quarter length moving deck.

The buses, which are the first of a 15-strong order which will be fulfilled before the end of the year, are Mercedes-Benz ‘Intouro’ intercity buses which Safra has retrofitted with electric drivetrain components, fuel cells, and hydrogen storage tanks.

The delivery was part of an order for ten double-deck coaches fitted with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and five single-deck buses placed by the bus operator last year, as it looked to fulfil growing demand for inter-state road travel.

Of the firm order for 80 buses, 32 will be fitted with another set of doors on the other side of the vehicle, allowing for dual-side boarding.

This is claimed to be the first time school minibuses have been fitted with automatic transmissions.
