To date, Warrington has put 56 of the Volvo ‘BZL Electric’ buses on the road, and it aims to deploy the remainder by the end of March.

These buses, equipped with the 17-210 chassis and FPT N60 CNG engines, were produced at Iveco's plant in Córdoba, with bodies supplied by Italbus.

The truck conversion is based on a Mercedes Benz Actros chassis (4x2), equipped with a 7.8-litre Deutz six-cylinder in-line diesel (converted to run on hydrogen) engine with an output of 210 kW (281 hp) providing a maximum torque of 1000 Nm. The truck is fitted with an Allison 3000 Series TM fully automatic transmission.

Daimler plans on delivering another 50 of these e-trucks before the end of the year, with the majority heading to European dealerships as demonstrator models.

These 85 low- and zero-emission trucks make up almost 10% of the retailer’s total fleet.

The remaining vans are pending delivery due to production delays at General Motors' CAMI Assembly Plant in Ontario, Canada. According to GM, production was halted from October 2023 until spring 2024 because of battery module supply issues. Operations then resumed in April 2024, with the plant working to fulfil a backlog of orders.

The Duvenbeck Group has ordered 50 units of Farizon’s heavy-duty battery electric Homtruck, with the potential of larger orders in the future. This marks Farizon’s entry into Europe, as it plans to bring its SV Electric van to the UK and Europe later this year.

The contract stipulates a firm order for eighty 45-foot ‘D45 CRT’ commuter coaches, with additional unspecified options.

Renault Trucks announced that, as it fulfilled this order, it passed a milestone of 2,000 electric trucks produced at its factory in Blainville-sur-Orne.

The bus in question is a battery-electric Volvo, which was handed over to the public transport authority of Perth in Western Australia as part of an order for 18 buses announced last year.

The B4 Chassis Cab electric truck has entered into series production at Bollinger’s facility in Livonia, Michigan. The B4 is a Class 4 medium-duty electric truck, specifically designed for the commercial fleet market.

The automated terminal tractors will enter service in the first quarter of 2027 at Maasvlakte 2, an extension of the Port of Rotterdam and an ongoing construction project which was opened in 2013.
