Stuttgart-based Daimler Truck AG has announced that it intends to begin road trials with its 500km eActros LongHaul later this year. The first prototypes of the vehicle are already undergoing internal tests, but is yet to be tested on public roads.

The American company's T-Series range of electric terminal tractors, which will feature improvements to connectivity, will now be released under the ‘e-TRIEVER’ brand.

The Swedish manufacturer will begin producing a new generation of battery-electric trucks designed for regional haul, with the range extended up to 350 km on a single charge, from the end of 2023.

In the report’s conclusion, GNA states that significant market and regulatory forces are creating a “perfect storm” that is driving the adoption of zero-emission vehicles across North America.

ALBA W&H Smart City has purchased 15 battery-powered Scania 25L low-entry trucks after winning a new contract for public waste collection in Singapore’s Woodlands-Yishun district. 

Under TMB’s “Strategic Plan 2025”, 100% of vehicle purchases by TMB will be low-emission vehicles, with 62% of them expected to be zero-emission.
