At stand 629 in hall 6, the company is set to debut its new roof-mounted AC138 EVO air conditioning system which is set to go into series production in Q1 2025.

Proposal is for mandatory fitment of AC systems in new trucks from 2025.

At stand 629 in hall 6, the company stated it would be “presenting primarily climate-friendly products for alternative drive types” whilst also focusing on its digital and cloud-based service offerings.

The company has acquired two Seattle-based companies, Integrated Systems and Controls and InControl in order to strengthen its HVAC business in North America.

The company claims this technology has been adopted by some 60% of German electric buses as it improves both efficiency and range, as the refrigerant charge level is controlled precisely, ensuring that the optimal quantity of refrigerant is always used.

The new CE Series buses will be based on the ‘International MV’ chassis for medium-duty trucks, with a Cummins B6.7 engine (providing power up to 325 hp and torque up to 750 lb-ft) and Meritor and/or Dana axles.

The ‘Thermo HV’, which is designed specifically for electric vehicles, accommodates an input voltage between 600 and 875 volts and delivers a variable heat output of up to 12 kW.

The company has attributed this to strong growth in the electromobility segment (e-bus) as well as its presence in new markets such as Australia and Turkey.

Having displayed its product range in the USA at the recent Busworld North America event held in Detroit in February this year, T&BB caught up with James Fisher, Sales and Marketing Manager at Flettner Ventilator, for an exclusive interview regarding the company’s plans to expand into the American market and beyond.

A two-year industry/educational institution collaboration project, called SAPOHVAC, utilising AI systems such as deep learning and machine learning has been developed to run a range of diagnostic tests on Hispacold’s HVAC systems in various scenarios that can predict when maintenance is needed.
