Hexagon Purus is set to supply hydrogen storage and battery packs to Toyota Motor North America for the series production of its heavy-duty fuel cell powertrains. These HFC powertrains will be manufactured at the Toyota facility in Georgetown, Kentucky.

The funding package, dubbed ‘Hy2Move’, is the fourth “Important Project of Common European Interest” (IPCEI) related to hydrogen which the European Commission has approved over the past two years.

The recall concerns MAN’s Euro 6c engine types ‘D2676LF51-53’ and ‘D2676LOH35-37’ built between November 2016 and August 2019.

One of the joint ventures will be based in Germany and will be majority owned by Voith, while the other will be established in China with Weifu as majority owner.

Hornyak joins the company from Brightdrop, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer and acting CEO.

Bangston, who replaces Jeff Sather in the leadership role at FCCC, will lead the two DTNA subsidiaries under a new structure where he is responsible for key business areas in Specialty Vehicles.

Proterra batteries will continue to be supplied to two vehicle ranges built by DTNA brands: the ‘Saf-T-Liner C2 Jouley’ school bus by Thomas Built Buses; and the ‘MT50e’ chassis by Freightliner Custom Chassis.

DTNA announced it has rolled out its “circular economy approach” to battery recycling, remanufacturing and repurposing of its lithium-ion CV battery packs.
