Enviro200 buses from Alexander Dennis Ltd have taken part in a pilot on-road autonomous passenger-less scheme, ahead of operations with passengers that are scheduled for later this year. Bus operator Stagecoach has been conducting the passenger-less tests over the course of two weeks

Allison Transmission Inc and Hyzon Motors Inc have been selected to provide the propulsion system for the UK’s first hydrogen fuel cell-powered refuse truck. Aberdeen City council has chosen to pair a 250kW Hyzon electric motor with Allison’s 3000 Series transmission in conjunction with a 45kW hydrogen fuel cell.

The North American Council for Freight Efficiency concludes from the reports that significant portions of these segments are currently electrifiable, largely due to their use in repeatable routes that support overnight depot charging, reducing their dependence on sparce public charging infrastructure.

Ebusco Holding N.V. has agreed a major framework agreement for up to 800 buses with Deutsche Bahn, the largest public transport operator in Germany.

Hyzon Motors Inc, based in Rochester, New York, is set to supply 18 fuel cell trucks to Hylane GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of German automotive insurance firm DEVK Versicherung. Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled to begin in late 2022.

Ebusco Holding N.V. has released its financial results for the 2021 financial year. Total revenue was EUR24.3 million, a substantial decrease from the same measure for the 2020 financial year of EUR100 million.

The Lion Electric Co, based in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, has launched a new electric vehicle for the medium and heavy-duty last mile segment featuring a body from Transit Truck Bodies Inc, based in Laval, Quebec.

The Lion Electric Co has received an order for 50 all-electric LionC school buses from Autobus Campeau in the province of Quebec, with deliveries to begin by the first quarter of 2023.

Following two orders from operators in Hamburg for a total of 53 buses, the German manufacturer has announced that more than 700 of its electric buses have been ordered since the sales launch of the Lion’s City E range in 2020.
