Hyvia, a joint venture between Renault Group and Plug Power based in Villiers-Saint-Frédéric, France, has inaugurated its plant at Renault Group’s manufacturing site in Flins, France. Hyvia states it is ready to begin assembly and testing of fuel cell modules based on Plug Power’s technology.

Austin, Texas-based truck retrofitter Hyliion Holdings Corp has recently received two orders for a total of 70 units of its Hypertruck ERX. 50 units have been purchased by GreenPath Logistics, with a further 20 units ordered by Mone Transport.

Easymile SAS, based in Toulouse, France, has provided its autonomous vehicles in Norway with a software update focussing on features specifically relevant to Nordic conditions, including enhanced ground perception and improved rain and snow filtering. CaetanoBus S.A., headquartered in Porto, Portugal, has announced it has won two international tenders to supply ten H2.City Gold buses to Düsseldorf’s operator Rheinbahn, and eight units to SSB Stuttgart. The orders add to more than 40 H2.City Gold buses already in service in Germany.

Ford Motor Co, based in Dearborn, Michigan has announced that Ford Otomotiv Sanayi A.Ş. (Ford Otosan), based in Gölcük, Turkey, will assume control of its manufacturing plant in Craiova, Romania, subject to regulatory approval, in Q3 2022.

Allison Transmission Inc, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, has announced an agreement with Mack Trucks Inc, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. Under the agreement, Allison’s 3000 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission will be offered in the Mack Class 6 and Class 7 MD truck series.

Daimler Truck AG, based in Stuttgart, Germany, has announced the Mercedes-Benz eEconic has completed its final endurance tests before the start of series production. The eEconic was tested in the Arctic Circle at temperatures as low as -25°C to prepare it for its intended municipal use in Rovaniemi, Finland.

Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation, based in Kawasaki City, Japan, has unveiled the next generation eCanter test vehicle.
