The EM-H mechatronic regulator is designed to manage and calibrate hydrogen delivery pressure with high accuracy and efficiency for use in hydrogen-powered internal combustion engines (ICEs), particularly in commercial vehicles.

These buses, equipped with the 17-210 chassis and FPT N60 CNG engines, were produced at Iveco's plant in Córdoba, with bodies supplied by Italbus.

In Q3 2024, Iveco announced that it had reached an agreement with German private equity firm, Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, to sell its firefighting vehicle manufacturing unit (Magirus GmbH) for an undisclosed fee. That sale has now gone through.

Thomas Hilse, President of the Firefighting Business Unit at the Iveco Group and CEO of Magirus has left the company with immediate effect.

This is the largest tender Iveco  Bus has won in the German market to date. Deliveries will start in 2025 and continue through to 2030.

The Hedin Mobility Group has purchased the dealership and retail services network in the Nordic countries in Sweden (Gothenburg, Helsingborg and Malmö), Norway (Bærum), Finland (Espoo) and Denmark (Odense).

The orders comprise 31, GX 337 H2 LINIUM BRT hydrogen fuel cell buses and 20, GX 437 ELEC LINIUM BRT battery electric buses.

The whole vehicle will be produced entirely on the line at Atessa, which Stellantis said marked a “historic moment” for the facility and “a significant step in sustainable commercial vehicle manufacturing”.

The company is investing EUR 600 million to transform the facility into a hub for manufacturing electric and hydrogen-powered buses, including the Heuliez GX Elec, Iveco E-Way and the new E-Way-H2 hydrogen model.

In collaboration with Hyundai Motor Company, the company launched the E-WAY H2, a 12-metre hydrogen fuel cell electric city bus, which first debuted at Busworld Europe in 2023.
