Volvo says it will begin receiving steel products from the mill in mid-2026, though H2 Green Steel has stated that customer deliveries will start in 2027.

Scania says it is working with Spanish coachbuilder Irizar to integrate the ‘i6s Efficient’ with a Scania gas-powered chassis, with a target completion date of end-of-2025.

MCV will produce the buses under licence at its facility in Egypt, employing chassis supplied from Volvo’s factories in Sweden.

The FH – standing for ‘Forward control High entry’ – was launched to replace the ‘F’ series of trucks which had been in production for over 15 years.

The prototype truck is a 560-horsepower plug-in hybrid which pulls an 18-metre trailer installed with solar panels.

There are now seven autonomous FH trucks operating at the site, managed remotely via a touch screen in the wheel loader.

A ‘Volta Zero’ truck is operating from DSV’s southern hub in the town of Purfleet-on-Thames, carrying out last-mile deliveries in London and the southeast of England.
