Together with the regional electric truck, Scania is introducing a new electric powertrain, called 'EM C1-4', which is more powerful than the drive systems installed in its lighter distribution and tipper trucks.

Using the 'Volvo Connect' application, drivers can find nearby charging stations, check their availability, and pay to use the charger.

Subject to regulatory approval, the joint venture will be launched in 2024, with both partners pledging to invest EUR300m each over the next three years.
