The company has now built a pavilion named the “Actros 600 Experience World” in Wörth, where customers, clients and the general public can learn about the vehicle as well as the company’s history. Daimler is attempting to educate the public on the need for electrification as it rolls out its zero-emission product range.

Having purchased the full “e-package solution,” Daimler installed 41 charging stations (output of 360 kW) with a total number of 122 charging points at the depot. The result, up to four buses per charging station can be charged overnight at 90 kW. The supply agreement also includes maintenance and charging management software.

Daimler Truck is offering its “depot charging package” which includes hardware sales, installation and maintenance. This service is now available to customers in Germany and will be rolled out to other parts of Europe in the next few years.

This project will study the feasibility of commercialising the use of international liquefied green hydrogen supply chains, including LH2-terminals, large- and medium-sized overseas shipping and large-scale liquid hydrogen storage.

Temsa SA of Adana began selling the truck in June - sourced as completely built-up units from MFTBC’s assembly plant in Tramagal, Portugal.

With series production expected in Q4 2024, Daimler has launched the eActros 600 European Testing Tour 2024 which saw two vehicles set off from Frankfurt earlier this month, intending to complete 13,000 kilometres, each with 40 tonnes of total towing weight. The trip will incorporate a wide range of topographies, routes and climate conditions, with special attention on battery performance/energy consumption.

The all-electric eCanter for India is to be imported as a Completely Built-up Unit (CBU) from Japan, where the battery electric platform of the first-generation eCanter has been in production since the beginning of 2017.

INEOS Inovyn says it is supply the liquid hydrogen to power the five customer trials of the Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Trucks next month. The first of the five customer trials will see logistics partner VERVAEKE, transport various chemicals to numerous INEOS clients around Germany. This one year test will give Daimler valuable real-world insight into the capability and reliability of the vehicle.

With series production expected late this year, Daimler has launched eActros 600 customer trials in Germany. These tests provide valuable real-world feedback not only on the truck but also on the reliability of the public charging infrastructure/network.

By combining their assets and capital, the two European manufacturers will ultimately produce “software-defined” trucks which are capable of continually receiving updates over-the-air.
