The Class 6-7 MD Electric series of trucks - the zero-emission equivalent of the MD Series launched in 2020 - will be supplied with SEA-Drive power systems over a five year period.

Allison Transmission Inc, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, has announced an agreement with Mack Trucks Inc, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina. Under the agreement, Allison’s 3000 Rugged Duty Series (RDS) transmission will be offered in the Mack Class 6 and Class 7 MD truck series.

The new-generation truck boasts 42% more energy, with battery capacity up to 376 kWh.

The package, offered through Mack Financial Services, will provide customers with a chassis, refuse body, and maintenance plan.

New Anthem and Pinnacle trucks will now come with Mack Predictive Cruise Control with Econo-Roll to promote greater efficiency and fuel savings.
