Einride has partnered with American food producer Mars Inc, to provide a fleet of digitally optimised electric heavy-duty trucks across Mars’ European network by 2030.

The company has recently announced a raft of orders, including 411 e-buses (E-WAY) to ATAC S.p.A. in Rome and 153 E-Way buses to Azienda Trasporti Milanesi S.p.A. (ATM) in Milan, Italy.

Allison is set to supply Oshkosh Corporation with electric axles for North America’s first fully integrated electric refuse vehicle, the McNeilus Volterra ZSL.

In December, four Catalan public transport companies tested the 7-metre ‘eC24s’ in the Barcelona metropolitan area.

Transport operator, VIX Logística S.A. has started testing its first converted (retrofitted) electric heavy-duty truck in Brazil. Named Atlas, it has a maximum traction capacity (CMT) of 120 tons and has an electric motor with a power output of 450 kW (600 hp).

Agreements were signed with dealers in southern Alberta, Toronto, and Montreal.

The first batch of 12 ‘E12’ buses were revealed in late January to attendees from stakeholders such as Nottingham City Council and electric charging firm Zenobē.

The ‘E-500e’ is powered directly by the vehicle battery and does not require additional investment in a dedicated battery or shore connection module.

Called ‘FH Aero’, the redesigned truck features a cab which has been extended by 24 cm at the front, making it more aerodynamic.

The ‘FM Low Entry’ is a 19-32 tonne (GVW) truck which is intended for urban use in distribution, waste, and construction applications.

On 12 January, Phoenix Motor announced that it had completed its acquisition of the Proterra Transit, and on 2 February, Volvo announced that its acquisition of Proterra Powered had completed.

Thirty-five more buses are set to be delivered in Q1 2024. The low-floor 15m electric buses have a range of 200 km on a single charge, thanks to the 300-kWh battery pack, which takes three hours to fully charge.
