ChargePoint Holdings Inc, based in Campbell, California, has expanded into the European fleet market through a partnership with Picnic, an online-only supermarket that serves around 200 cities across the Netherlands, Germany, and France with its fleet of over 2,300 electric vehicles.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), has announced it has selected a consortium to develop and implement an inductive charging vehicle pilot. The agency claims it is the first of its kind in the USA. Electreon¹, a provider of wireless charging solutions for EVs will lead the group, with support from partners such as Ford Motor Co.

ABB Ltd of Zürich, Switzerland, has installed its Terra 124 electric chargers at the San Donato bus depot of Milan’s public transport operator ATM (Azienda Transporti Milanesi). The chargers will support Milan’s transition to an all-electric bus fleet by 2030.

Daimler Truck North America LLC of Portland, Oregon, NextEra Energy Resources LLC of Juno Beach, Florida, and BlackRock Real Assets of New York, have signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate a joint venture for the design, development, installation, and operation of a nationwide charging network for medium and heavy-duty electric vehicles in the US.

Automated technology specialist ABB Ltd of Zürich, Switzerland, has announced the acquisition of a 60% stake in commercial EV charging firm InCharge Energy, based in Santa Monica, California, USA. The transaction builds on ABB’s initial investment as part of Series A venture capital funding in InCharge.

Falkenklev Logistik is building a charging hub in Malmö which will be able to charge 22 vehicles at a time, making it the largest of its kind in Sweden.

December 2021 saw Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (FUSO) of Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, announce it has agreed to collaborate with Tokyo-based Orix Corporation to provide clients of its battery-powered trucks with environmentally-friendly (green) electricity. 

The microgrid, which will serve the Valley Transportation Authority in Santa Clara County, California, will be able to charge up to 34 electric buses at a time.

Tata Motors has delivered 60 Ultra Urban 9/9 AC electric buses to Ahmedabad for operation throughout the city's BRTS corridor, and is now also installing charging infrastructure and support systems.

BEST is procuring 900 all-electric double-deck buses all fitted with air conditioning, under the terms of a 'wet lease' contract over a period of 12 years.

EV software start-up AmpUp, based in Cupertino, California, has launched Fleet Manager, the firm’s new EV fleet charging offering. AmpUp Fleet Manager is designed to serve small to large fleets, with the software scalable from a handful of vehicles all the way up to hundreds.

Kempower has announced it is to supply 70 fast chargers to operator Keolis. The chargers will support the Keolis fleet in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden.
