Sales of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, trucks and buses of 10.5t gvw and above, in Argentina rose by 63.1% in the first quarter of 2021 to 3,984 units compared with 2,443 units sold in the same period of 2020.

According to data released by the National Association of Bus Manufacturers (FABUS) of São Paulo, Brazil’s bus production fell by 32.8% in the first quarter of this year, when 3,069 units were manufactured compared with 4,549 units in the same first quarter of 2020.

The Indonesian market for medium and large buses and coaches virtually collapsed in the fourth quarter of 2020; falling by over 77% to just 242 units from 1,065 units a year earlier, resulting in a decline of more than 52% in full-year sales to 1,950 units.

Sales of buses fell by 91.2% in the first three quarter's period of fiscal year 2020-21 to register just 2,578 units, down from 29,206 units in the first nine months of FY2019-20.

Sales of light-duty vehicles (7.5t gvw & below) declined by 69.7% to register just 2,803 units in Q3 of FY2020-21, down from 9,254 units in Q3 of FY2019-20.

Sales of medium and heavy rigid trucks (7.5t gvw and above) in India fell by 45.6% in the first nine months (April to December) of FY2020-21 to 72,109 units from 132,575 units in same period of the year FY2019-20.

Sales of medium and heavy rigid trucks (7.5t gvw and above) in India experienced a positive upswing of 18.7% in Q3 of FY2020-21 (October to December 2020) to register 45,424 units compared with 38,283 units in same quarter of the year 2019-20

Tractor sales decreased by just 4.3% during the third quarter of fiscal year 2020-21 to register 4,049 units compared with 4,229 units in the same quarter of the previous year.

Domestic sales of buses (7.5t gvw and above) contracted by 84.3% in the third quarter of the financial year 2020-21 to register just 1,726 units compared with 11,025 units in Q3 of FY 2019-20!

Sales of LCV goods carrier vehicles (trucks of gvw ≤ 7.5t) increased by 5% to 139,041 units in Q3 of FY2020-21 from 132,420 units in same period of FY2019-20.
