Sales of light-duty buses (7.5t & below) in quarter three (Q3:October to December) of FY (fiscal year) 2023-24 increased by 9.2% to register 8,837 units

Sales of light-duty buses (7.5t & below) increased by 20.3% to 36,417 units in the first three quarter period (April December) of fiscal year (FY) 2023-24, from 30,278 units in same period of FY 2022-23.

According to latest registration figures by weight segment collated and supplied ANAC (Associação Nacional Automotriz de Chile), the Chilean truck market was in decline across all segments in 2023.

Production in 2023 totalled 19,612 vehicles, according to FABUS.

The CV market in Colombia ended 2023 with the sale of 32,511 vehicles, down 23.5% on the 42,488 units sold in 2022.

Annual sales of trucks  and buses in Argentina of 6t gvw and above held up remarkably well in 2023 to register 14,163 vehicles as compared with 14,668, a decline of just 3.4%.

Iveco’s Tector 170 E medium-duty model fell by 19% in 2023 to 1,684 units (2022: 2,079), yet the model remained the most popular truck in the Argentinian CV truck market.

Truck sales in Chile in 2023 fell by 21.1% to 12,650 compared with 16,038  trucks registered in 2022.
