The 100 trucks powered by B100 biodiesel are due for delivery starting May this year, and represent a landmark sale in the country.

The new ‘eTrucks’, which are based on the ‘TGX’ and ‘TGS’ heavy truck ranges, were launched at the end of October 2023.

It will trial the ‘StreetDeck Electroliner’, a double decker with seating for up to 74 passengers and a range of up to 200 miles.

The upfitted vehicle has a curb weight of 6,840 lbs and a maximum payload of 4,160 lbs.

A key focus of the partnership is ensuring smooth communication between the vehicle and the grid via the charging system.

The new Hilux Champ was first unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show in Tokyo during October and went on sale in Thailand, the truck’s largest single market, at the Bangkok International Motor Expo at the end of November.
