The first DAF LF Electric truck to be sold in Europe has been bought by the Dutch logistics service provider, Nabuurs.

VDL displayed its new generation Citea electric bus at Innotrans – claiming it is lighter, offers a longer range and comes with increased passenger capacity, series production starts in Eindhoven at the year end.

According to a new agreement between CaetanoBus and Industria Italiana (IIA), the companies are to work together to construct hydrogen buses in Italy. The hydrogen FC buses will be co-branded with Toyota (the fuel cell supplier) with start of production at IIA's factory in Bologna, Italy, scheduled for Q4/2024.

Logistics firm Foria will use the truck to transport fly ashes – a by-product of coal combustion – from a thermal power station in Mälardalen to a new recycling facility in Högbytorp operated by Ragn-Sells AB.

The VMC 1200, with a gross vehicle weight rating of 12,000 lbs (over 5 tonnes), is fitted with a 120-kW motor and lithium-ion batteries providing up to 150 kWh of energy and a range of up to 180 miles.

The 12-metre bus is fitted with a diesel engine which Keyou has converted to run on hydrogen and a “mild-hybrid” transmission with energy recuperation capabilities.

Available in 2024, Anadolu Isuzu plans entry into a new market segment with the introduction of the Big·e last mile electric delivery truck. Unveiled at the IAA, the company claims it has a range of 150 km and a load capacity of 1000 kg.

MAN displayed a battery electric truck for long haul operations offering a range of between 600 and 800km for market introduction in 2024.

The D45 CRT CHARGE is a battery-electric version of the high-floor D45 Commuter Rapid Transit series of coaches, providing a range of over 225 miles.

After three years of planning, Dutch e-bus builder, Ebusco, has launched a right-hand drive version of its Ebusco 2.2 electric bus model in Australia.

At the IAA Transportation 2022, BYD launched two new electric trucks, the BYD ETM6, a 7.5 tons gvw truck for the urban delivery truck market and the BYD ETH8 (19 tons) for general distribution,  waste collection and recycling - marking its entry into the European e-truck market.
