The companies are exploring a potential collaboration in overnight charging infrastructure for European e-trucks. By 2030, there are expected to be 3.5 million e-trucks in Europe, but in order to sustain large amounts of zero-emission vehicles on the roads, Europe needs a dense network of charging infrastructure.

Plus says it will incorporate the H.E.L.P. system in its self-driving trucks, mitigating risks in the event that a truck is rendered inoperable by a system or base vehicle issue.

The new partnership aims to deliver more efficient, low and zero-emission drivetrain technologies.

According to the terms of the contract, MAN will supply New Flyer with “several thousand” ‘V0K-08’ front axles and ‘HY-1350’ rear axles which, together with accompanying spare parts, are worth more than USD200m.
