Bratislava-based battery manufacturing start-up, InoBat Auto, has signed a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group. The JDA will support InoBat’s plans to build a 290,000ft² battery R&D centre and pilot battery production line in Voderady, Slovakia.

Electric bus and truck builder, The Lion Electric Co, based in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, has announced it has taken possession of a new production facility in Joliet, Illinois, USA.

The components manufacturer began production of the electric powertrain for Class 5-8 CVs in December 2021. It also announced supply agreements with Thomas Built Buses and Hexagon Purus.

The Amara Raja Group has announced it is to invest EUR10 million in Bratislava-based battery start-up Inobat Auto.

The company eventually aims to power the facility entirely with solar power.
