SKion, an investment company representing heiress Susanne Klatten, has acquired a 20% stake in the battery manufacturer for an undisclosed sum. 

The German and Chinese battery manufacturers have agreed to collaborate in the development of NMC lithium-ion batteries for the global market.

The black box systems are proprietary simulation tools which will allow OEMs to accurately simulate and predict the performance of Romeo Power batteries in specific applications without having to conduct real-world testing.

Forsee Power and EDF Store & Forecast have signed a partnership to develop intelligent stationary electricity storage systems utilising used or ‘second life’ batteries from heavy-duty electric vehicles.

The automotive corporation has set up a new company called PowerCo which will be responsible for production at the facility - set to begin in 2025 - and for global marketing of battery products for the group.
