The logistics firm’s new leasing service is called ‘RyderElectric+’: through it, customers will have access to consultation, vehicles, chargers, telematics, and maintenance for a single subscription fee.

The battery packs contain safety features including current overcharge protection, cell-level passive propagation resistance, and electrical disconnection at the individual cell wire bonds that satisfy international safety standards.

The vehicle shown was a Ram 2500 pickup truck with four-wheel drive and peak power and torque ratings of 750 kW and 15,200 Nm respectively.

Blue Bird has delivered 60, Vision electric school buses to the Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) district in Florida. Each of these vehicles can carry 72 students travelling up to 120 miles on a single charge, taking 3-8 hours to fully recharge depending on the charging infrastructure.
