The project brings together a consortium led by HVS and includes Fusion Processing, Grayson and PNDC.

The new products are designed to increase efficiency, promote the use of renewable fuels, and open the market to electric mobility in both goods and passenger transport.

The consortium is to consist of Ideanomics subsidiary, U.S. Hybrid Corporation and A-1 Alternative Fuel Systems Inc, supported by funding from South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) and SoCalGas.

First Hydrogen’s HFC-powered LCVs recently received type approval certification from the Vehicle Certification Authority (VCA) in Britain.

The companies include Italian bus manufacturer, Rampini Carlo SpA, South Korea’s NGVI Inc (Next Generation Vehicles International) and Australia’s, Aluminium Revolutionary Chassis Company (ARCC).

The two-axle freight goods truck uses the Atego chassis from Daimler Trucks, has a payload of 9 tons, a 500 km range, 200 kW engine, 1,400 Nm torque and a 30-minute refuelling time.

The investment from British retailer, EG group, is intended for the production of a hydrogen fuel cell Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV).
