Anadolu Automobil Romania (AAR) is the official distributor of Karsan vehicles in Romania - by the end of the year, the number of Karsan vehicles in the country will reach 240, operating in 15 cities.

The company aims to be the frontrunner in the race for autonomous bus-driving technology.  

Included in the new options is air or pneumatic suspension and a choice of manual and automated transmissions with some of the rear engine versions.

The Randon Technological Centre occupies an area of more than 90 hectares in Farroupilha, in the south of Brazil. With 15 kilometres of test field, more than 20 types of tracks and a 2,200 m² building with laboratories, engineering, and administration offices.

The project, known as ‘Mach2’, aims to integrate Level 4 autonomous Renault minibuses, without onboard supervision, into the city’s public transport network, which is operated by Keolis.

The announcement builds on a previous guarantee on a GBP26m loan from last year.

Sixty vehicles will operate on the ‘South Dade TransitWay’ bus rapid transit corridor, a 20-mile route connecting municipalities between Dadeland South Metrorail Station and Florida City.

The biomethane bus trial in Londrina is the third demonstration by Compagas and Scania in 2023; the first being in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba, and then in the capital city of Curitiba.

The Italian public transport operator, SASA, has ordered nine 18-metre-long articulated buses with a fuel cell range extender which will be used in northern Italy from the end of this year with deliveries scheduled between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
