The company has won a contract from Colas Rail Italiato to install its Grid-eMotion charging infrastructure in Genoa to aid the Val Bisagno Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line in Northern Italy. This contract will support the local Genoa City Council’s plan to decarbonise its public transport network by helping bring 34 electric buses online.

The event was Busworld’s second to take place in the imposing Art Deco halls of the Brussels Expo, which hosted over 500 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors from around the world.

The ten vehicles are all Ankai double-deckers which will feature Equipmake’s zero-emission drivetrain and a 327-kWh capacity battery pack, providing a 193 km (120 miles) range. The first vehicle will enter service in Q1 2024.

The GAMMA charger operates from 60 kW up to 450 kW and is available for both slow and opportunity charging.
