Cummins has announced the opening of its Hydrogen Fuel Cell Powertrain Integration Center in West Sacramento, California. The site will focus on the development of PEM fuel cells.

The Hydrogen Heavy Duty Vehicle Industry Group, including Hyundai, Toyota, and Nikola, has agreed to push ahead with a common global standard for hydrogen refuelling technologies to help “bring hydrogen closer to wide scale adoption”. 

The U.S. government passed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, committing an additional USD39bn to decarbonising public transit and USD7.5bn to building charging infrastructure.

The two companies signed an MoU agreeing to steadily build up hydrogen capacity and to begin construction on a 1 GW production site by 2025.

The two companies plan to build a hydrogen production facility in Kent, set to begin operation by mid-2023.

The chemicals company is investing in electrolysers across continental Europe and hydrogen infrastructure in the North West of England and north-eastern Wales.

Hiringa Energy Ltd, based in New Plymouth, New Zealand, has announced the start of construction on its first four high-capacity green hydrogen refuelling stations for heavy-duty vehicles. The company plans to bring 24 more hydrogen stations across New Zealand over the next 4-5 years.

The hydrogen and synthetic fuels production company expects to produce 2,000 metric-tons of hydrogen at Californian hub; through partnership with Hyzon Motors, Raven SR plans to expand its waste-to-hydrogen process as far as Europe, Asia, and Australia.

The order is part of customer Champign-Urbana Mass Transit District's federal-supported project to produce its own hydrogen using energy generated by solar power.

The two companies plan to build the facility in an undisclosed metropolitan area of South Korea by 2024 for the manufacture of electrolysers and fuel cells.

The 2GW plant for the production of PEM electrolysers is expected to be completed by 2023.

The Renault Master Van H2-TECH prototype van is equipped with a 30-kW fuel cell engine providing a range of up to 500 km.
