Vancouver, British Columbia-based First Hydrogen Corp has announced that its green hydrogen van will begin demonstrator testing in June 2022. First Hydrogen has partnered with Ballard Power Systems Inc of Vancouver, Canada, and the UK subsidiary of AVL List GmbH, AVL Powertrain UK Ltd of Hartlebury, to provide the drive components for the vehicle. The two demonstrator vans have been sourced from MAN SE, based in Munich, Germany, and are currently at AVL’s UK headquarters.

Air Liquide SAS, based in Paris, has received support from the French State, subject to a final validation by the European Commission, to launch its Normand’Hy large scale renewable hydrogen project. The electrolyser will have an initial 200MW capacity and will provide renewable hydrogen to the TotalEnergies Normandy refinery.

First Hydrogen Corp, headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, has announced the establishment of a new division, titled First Hydrogen Energy. The new division will be responsible for leading the group’s business in the production and distribution of green hydrogen.

Plug Power will be working with Atlas Copco and Fives to liquefy and distribute 500 tons of hydrogen every day across the USA by 2025.

STRING Megaregion aims to create a network of at least 12 hydrogen fuelling stations for long-distance transportation between the city of Hamburg in Germany and Oslo, Norway.

Haskel International, a compression systems specialist based in Sunderland, UK, and subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand Inc of Davidson, North Carolina, USA, has received a multimillion-dollar investment from its parent company to significantly increase its production capacity of hydrogen refuelling stations. In an interview with Truck & Bus Builder, Nick Power, Hydrogen Business Development Manager at Haskel International, discussed the firm’s plans for the coming year alongside the global adoption of hydrogen refuelling infrastructure.

Ballard Power Systems Inc, based in Vancouver, Canada, has announced the sale of 31 fuel cell modules, totalling 3MW of power, to an unnamed global construction, electric power, and off-road equipment manufacturer. The modules are expected to be delivered in 2022 and 2023.

Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, has announced the formation of a 50:50 joint venture with China Petrochemical Corp, a subsidiary of the Sinopec Group based in Beijing, China.

Iveco S.p.A. has announced a partnership with gas supplier Air Liquide S.A. As part of the Memorandum of Understanding, the two firms will collaborate on initiatives to encourage hydrogen mobility across Europe.

Plug Power aims to use Frames' expertise in manufacturing processing equipment for oil and gas treatment plants in expanding its hydrogen production capacity.

Plug Power will be constructing the new facility - including labs, technical support centre, and electrolyser - in the port of Duisburg, the world's largest inland port.

The joint venture, 'AccionaPlug', will be dedicated to the development, operation and maintenance of green hydrogen projects across Spain and Portugal.
