The powertrain manufacturer is investing in its Power Generation facility in Minnesota and its Jamestown Engine Plant in the state of New York.

The brand organises a disparate set of different business operations which relate to transport and industry decarbonisation, including: fuel cell and battery manufacturing; electric powertrain products; and electrolysers for producing green hydrogen.

Nikola Iveco received a Letter of Intent from the freight-forwarding firm to acquire 20 fuel-cell electric trucks – with the eventual intention of replacing its entire fleet with Nikola’s vehicles.

The two companies have agreed to collaborate in the development of large-scale green hydrogen projects in the U.S., but have so far released no concrete details as to their plans.
