The chassis is being introduced as a low-entry 4x2 option for city, suburban, and regional applications.

The new Temsa battery packs boast higher energy capacity and greater durability, while the hydrogen coach is a joint project with CaetanoBus using Toyota fuel cells.

Between 7-12 October, bus and coach manufacturers and their component suppliers descended on Brussels for the first exhibition held by Busworld since the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was Busworld’s second to take place in the imposing Art Deco halls of the Brussels Expo, which hosted over 500 exhibitors and more than 40,000 visitors from around the world.

This mid-sized low-floor urban city electric bus has been developed for the European bus market. The bus ranges from 8.7 to 9 metres and builds on the 12-metre Higer Azure series imported by the Harris Group in Ireland.

The ten vehicles are all Ankai double-deckers which will feature Equipmake’s zero-emission drivetrain and a 327-kWh capacity battery pack, providing a 193 km (120 miles) range. The first vehicle will enter service in Q1 2024.

The Euro VI engine's maximum torque has been increased by 50 (to 150 Nm) and offers lower fuel consumption and longer time between service intervals than previous generations due to high torque and low revs. The new powertrains are able to run on HVO biodiesel.

The GAMMA charger operates from 60 kW up to 450 kW and is available for both slow and opportunity charging.

The E-Way H2 will be produced at the Iveco Bus plants in Annonay, France, and Foggia, Italy. The 12-metre low-floor city bus is equipped with a Siemens ELFA 3, 310-kW e-motor and an advanced fuel cell system provided by Hyundai. With four hydrogen tanks located on the roof and one 69 kWh battery pack by FPT Industrial, the vehicle offers a driving range of 450 km (280 miles) and can accommodate 115 passengers.

The company premiered the 7.3 metre Novo VOLT electric midi-coach, signifying an expansion of the company's electric vehicle offerings. Powered by a 320-kW electric motor and a 165-kWh battery that provides a 225 km (139 miles) range, the electric bus can accommodate 29 passengers.

The company has announced a lineup of no fewer than eight buses and coaches from Mercedes-Benz and Setra, including two models making their debuts.

The company this week presents its BP95E battery as it makes its European bus debut at Busworld Europe (7 – 12 October in Brussels), stand number 775 – Hall 7.

Owned by the Iveco Group, the company is focusing on battery packs and battery management systems for minibuses and buses.
