‘Aladin Beyond’ is Voith’s new cloud-based offering for bus operators whose vehicles are powered by the ‘Voith Electrical Drive System’ or ‘DIWA’ transmission.

For the fleet operator, it enables better oversight, helps optimise logistics, and supports cost savings through efficiency and proactive service planning.

Dubbed ‘VEDS 1.5’, the new version of the Voith Electrical Drive System for buses and coaches will come with Voith’s ‘Drive Inverter System’ with integrated drive management unit.

Starting from 18 February 2027, batteries sold within the European Union, beginning with those used in electric trucks, buses, industrial machinery, and light commercial vehicles, will be required to carry a digital passport that provides comprehensive information on their lifecycle and sustainability credentials.
