Continental AG has inaugurated a new surface materials plant in Pune, India, to focus on the production of interior components in the commercial vehicle and automotive segments for the Indian market.

Knorr-Bremse AG, based in Munich, Germany, has achieved a key climate milestone of carbon neutrality across all group sites. The firm states that, considering carbon offsets, its operations have been carbon neutral since the end of 2021.

Robert Bosch GmbH is set to acquire Five AI Ltd, a start-up specialising in autonomous driving software based in Cambridge, UK. The acquisition adds to Bosch’s autonomous mobility portfolio following the announcement that it was acquiring German firm Altatec GmbH earlier in April of this year.

The German parent of several truck and bus manufacturers released its results for the first quarter of 2022, recording a considerable revenue growth of 30% from EUR6.5bn to EUR8.5bn.

The automatic transmission system for heavy-duty vehicles, which boasts 99.7% efficiency in direct drive and a 12.83 Nm per kg ratio with either 12 or 16 forward gears, is billed as a lighter, more efficient, and less expensive option.

Ebusco Holding N.V. has agreed a major framework agreement for up to 800 buses with Deutsche Bahn, the largest public transport operator in Germany.

Hyzon Motors Inc, based in Rochester, New York, is set to supply 18 fuel cell trucks to Hylane GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of German automotive insurance firm DEVK Versicherung. Deliveries of the vehicles are scheduled to begin in late 2022.

Grammer AG, based in Ursensollen, Germany, has announced the launch of its Roadtiger truck seat for the Chinese aftermarket. Now available for retrofitting, the Roadtiger driver seat is based on Grammer’s air-suspended MSG 115 series.

Following two orders from operators in Hamburg for a total of 53 buses, the German manufacturer has announced that more than 700 of its electric buses have been ordered since the sales launch of the Lion’s City E range in 2020.
