This year's Advanced Clean Technology Expo in California saw Allison Transmission Inc introduce the new ABE Series electric axle, which, it claims, is the first e-axle advanced ultra-low floor electric bus powertrain system in the market.

Electric vehicle manufacturer, BYD Motors Inc, introduced its next generation 8Y, battery-electric yard tractor at the ACT Expo in California last month.

At ACT Expo 2019, traditional automatic transmission maker, Allison Transmission Inc and British bus and coach manufacturer, Alexander Dennis Ltd, announced they were working together to develop new efficient and powerful electric buses.
