Allison launched the eGen Power 85S for the electric truck market, the latest addition to its range of fully electric CV axles. Furthermore, the company introduced its new 9-speed fully automatic transmission, designed for commercial vehicles operating in stop-and-go conditions, offering improved fuel economy, enhanced performance, and lower maintenance costs.

The agreement, which was signed at the end of July, is aimed at expanding its business within China’s electric drive axle market.

The new R&D facility is located in Pune, Maharashtra, near a major production site where SAF-Holland manufactures trailer axles and suspensions under the ‘York’ brand.

Reyco Granning specialises in manufacturing suspension solutions for heavy and medium-duty vehicles, including for motorhomes, emergency response vehicle, speciality trailers, commercial trucks and buses.

The Hübner Group, which unveiled its ‘hydropneumatic’ suspension and damping system, which works without the use of compressed air at Busworld 2023, is seeking OE partners to build the first vehicle prototype. Any manufacturer interested should get in touch.

With Thermo King’s expertise in electrifying transport refrigeration, the partners aim to achieve reduced fuel consumption in diesel truck-trailers and increased range in electric combinations.

As the TRAKr launches in more and more markets, SAF-Holland is ramping up its production: “We see great opportunities for electrified trailer axles,” said Olaf Drewes, Director Group Innovation.

Through this partnership, Thermo King will offer refrigerated trailers to customers in the Americas which are powered – wholly or in part – by electric axles developed by Range.

The new factory, construction of which is expected to be completed by the end of the year for start of operations in the first quarter of 2025, is to supply driveline components to the truck and bus chassis produced by Mercedes-Benz do Brasil.
