Einride has partnered with Dutch brewer, Heineken, to provide a fleet of digitally optimised electric heavy-duty trucks, using renewable electricity, between Heineken’s Den Bosch brewery in the Netherlands and Duisburg distribution centre in Germany.

The company announced increased sales in 2023, with 526,053 trucks and buses sold compared with 520,291 in 2022. Despite supply chain issues, it tripled its BEV sales in 2023 to 3,443, or 277% more than in 2022 (914 units).

The Bosch Secure Truck Parking app gives users access to a total of 15,000 parking spaces at over 400 locations in 14 European countries. This includes countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Great Britain, France and now Hungary. 

These 'S.KO COOL' reefers are installed with Schmitz’s ‘S.CU d80’ transport refrigeration units as well as its ‘TrailerConnect’ telematics hardware.

The company announced plans to electrify the HTM bus depot in the Hague, Netherlands. Construction has begun, with the depot expected to be up and running by Q3 2024. The supply agreement includes the chargers, installation, maintenance,  charging management software as well as the delivery of 95 Mercedes-Benz eCitaro city buses.

Krone has fully absorbed fleet digitalisation service provider ECR, which continues to act independently, providing its clients with digital services that optimise fleet efficiency and business processes.

Daimler is currently building a customer trial fleet of five of its Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Trucks (semi-trailer tractors) which will be tested on German roads starting in June 2024. With a focus on long-haul transport applications, the vehicles will offer a payload of 25 tons at a gross combination weight (GCW) of 40 tons.

She replaces Ulrich Hörnke in the role.

The plant, which is located in an industrial suburb of Chennai (called Oragadam), will produce various electrical components for CV chassis and, in the near future, air compressors for light- and medium-duty vehicles.

From 7 July this year, all newly registered vehicles in the European Union must comply with the second tranche of rules known as the ‘General Safety Regulation’ (“GSR II”). These regulations will require all new road vehicles to be installed with more advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) which employ some of the latest innovations being made at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence. These include systems for intelligent speed assistance; reversing detection with cameras and/or sensors; attention warnings in case of driver drowsiness or distraction; event data recorders; and emergency stop signals.

Einride has partnered with American food producer Mars Inc, to provide a fleet of digitally optimised electric heavy-duty trucks across Mars’ European network by 2030.
