Nikola Iveco received a Letter of Intent from the freight-forwarding firm to acquire 20 fuel-cell electric trucks – with the eventual intention of replacing its entire fleet with Nikola’s vehicles.

Set to provide 450 jobs, the 270,000 square metre automated high-bay global parts warehouse will stock over 300,000 items from screws to finished truck cabs.

Konvekta is a pioneer in using CO2 as a refrigerant in climate control HVAC systems. More than 2,000 buses have been fitted with its CO2 heat pump HVAC system and these are now in successful operation throughout Europe.

Stadtwerke Aschaffenberg Verkehrs has acquired 12 buses in total, ten of which are ‘Urbino 12 hydrogen’ models, while the remaining two are ‘Urbino 18 hydrogen’ articulated buses.

The direct current fast charging system which Mahle has installed provides up to 350 kW of power in under five minutes but can potentially lead to overheating in the battery and even in the vehicle cab.

The German retrofit firm reported an annual turnover of approximately EUR13m, a 25% year-on-year increase.

Testing of the Iveco Bus / Plus Inc heavy-duty truck (Iveco S-Way) installed with Plus’s level 4 autonomous driving technology (‘PlusDrive’), is set to expand from Germany into Austria, Italy and Switzerland in March 2023 in order to collect more complex road data and ultimately go into series production.

The truck-trailer components manufacturer reported a revenue increase of approximately 25% over the previous year.

The company announced it has a 5-year exclusive contract for the North American distribution rights of the Mahle chargeBIG 18-36 AC EV charging infrastructure, with orders beginning in Q2 2023 and delivery by Q1 2024.
