The Karsan Level 4 autonomous e-ATAK is set to start carrying passengers in Gothenburg between the Central Station and Liseberg Station in August 2025.

Karsan has acquired 100% of Spanish dealership, E-buskar, expanding its presence in the Spanish market. By integrating E-buskar into its operations, Karsan plans to enhance its collaboration with dealers in public transportation sales, after-sales services, spare parts, and used vehicles.

Güliz Şengör, Marketing Communications Manager at Karsan told T&BB: “We are planning to introduce our e-ATA Class II version to the market in 2025, derived from our existing 12-metre e-ATA Class I model.”

With this expansion, Kempower is targeting the Turkish charge point operators, municipalities and public transport authorities. This is a milestone for Kempower, which continues to enter new markets as part of its strategy for growth.

The deal, understood to be worth KRW13trn (USD9.4bn), comes a year after the two companies decided to scrap plans to build a battery manufacturing joint venture in Turkey due to weakening demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in Europe.

The company is bringing its electric minibus (the 6-metre e-Jest) to British consumers through Horsham-based dealer, EVM UK Ltd.

Starting in late 2024, ZF will provide its CeTrax 2 dual electric central drive, which is designed for heavy-duty trucks, including Ford Trucks' electric rigid truck (F-Line E). This drive offers two electric motors with a continuous power of 380 kW and a peak torque of 24,700 Nm, enabling efficient and powerful performance.

Last month Karsan delivered 14 Karsan e-JEST electric minibuses to Santa Maria, California. This is part of a pilot microtransit project which aims to offer a more sustainable, low-emission public transport option while enhancing accessibility for Santa Maria's residents​.

Karsan has formed a strategic partnership with French dealer *Cosmobilis Group, which will play a crucial role in expanding Karsan's presence in several European markets, particularly in France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland. Cosmobilis Group will import Karsan’s electric buses, and this partnership will allow Karsan to enhance its sales and after-sales services while benefiting from Cosmobilis' experience in the sector.

During a press conference at the show, Güriş said that Parsan is now working with AVL to adapt the e-axle for series production.

At the IAA in Hanover Ford Trucks said that it was working on a right hand drive Euro VII diesel engine powered version of both the F-MAX and F-LINE truck models.

The company’s distribution strategy had been to appoint a single distributor per country in mainland Europe responsible for sales, aftersales, spare parts and marketing.
