In 2024, Iveco delivered 2,000 school buses, out of a total of 3,250 orders placed. In 2025 it adds the new more powerful BUS 15-210 ORE 3 (Rural School Bus 3) model.

The truck market registered 2847 vehicles, an increase of 3.7% on 2746 units in 2023.

According to data from SIOMMA, there were 14,732 CV units sold compared with 14,165 the previous year.

AXN Heavy Duty, which was established 16 years ago in 2008, sells axles and suspension systems for the truck, trailer and bus segment in North America.

These buses, equipped with the 17-210 chassis and FPT N60 CNG engines, were produced at Iveco's plant in Córdoba, with bodies supplied by Italbus.

The transaction, which is mainly components for car and light commercial vehicles, includes the manufacturing operations of two prominent engine parts brands of Moresa and TF Victor, which specialize in pistons and engine gaskets.

The semi-trailer and drawbar trailer segment recorded a decline in sales of 1.9%, whereas body builder sales rose by 16.3%.

In 2024, three of four main truck market segments increased to register a total of 124,933 trucks sold, a 15.65% increase over the 108,024 trucks sold in 2023, according to statistics provided by Anfavea.

Eduardo Freitas, vice president of Anfavea, said: “We had a special year in 2024 for bus and coach chassis production, with the 34.7% increase was driven by the urban segment, which grew 41.3%, and the intercity segment, which grew by 5.4%.”

The data by ANFAVEA shows truck production up by 40.5% in 2024, and that bus and coach chassis output rose by 34.7% when compared with 20,598 units in 2023.

The light and medium truck segment, up to 10.5 tons gvw bucked the trend by increasing 6.2%.

Trucks sales in 2024 fell by 3.5%, whereas bus and coach sales declined steeply by 32.8%.
