ITD Industries, a trailer manufacturer, will set aside room for a Nikola truck showroom and service operations at its site, and it will promote the vehicles through its sales channels.

The company is set to deliver a BrightDrop Zevo 400 and BrightDrop Zevo 600 electric van by Q4 this year. The vehicles will be produced at GM’s CAMI Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada.

New trails of electric parcel delivery vans will take place shortly ahead of an announcement by First Hydrogen of when and where it will to start series production. First Hydrogen says the aim of the trials is to gather more data on fuel consumption, usage and efficiency, to calculate the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) more accurately.

The Ferndale facility has the capacity to produce up to 850 ‘Vicinity Classic’ and ‘Vicinity Lightning’ (i.e., ICE and EV) buses and 6,250 ‘VMC 1200’ battery electric trucks per year.

A European customer has now taken five vehicles, and Quantron’s CEO, Michael Perschke, said its orders amount to up to 100 units.

Altogether, the bus and coach group will raise gross proceeds of approximately USD444m through the refinancing plan.

The company announced its South Korean distributor, NGVI, has secured a supply contract for a hydrogen electric bus project with a second municipality in the country, this time with the county of Ulju. Loop will supply its trademarked hydrogen fuel cell system (eFlow).

The onboard engines are modified to run on LNG with Westport’s high-pressure direct injection (HPDI) system.

With deliveries set for Q4 of 2023, the lithium-ion battery pack comes in two forms, the HV-90 (35 kWh) and HV-180 (70 kWh) and will serve both 400V and 800V applications. With a 25-year projected lifetime, the company claims these are the longest-lasting high-voltage batteries available on the market today.

The company has announced it is set to supply fuel cell systems to an unnamed hydrogen-electric fire truck OEM, marking a milestone for the company. Loop Energy will install two of its T505 fuel cell systems in the fire truck.  

By the end of 2023, the factory will be producing up to 2,500 electric school buses a year whilst employing 1,400 new staff members.
