Einride has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Norwegian postal service, PostNord, to electrify 1,500km of Norwegian highway to bring zero-emission transport to the market.

These tests were designed to see how the vehicle copes in extreme temperatures and to try out the newly developed thermal management system. The engineers were also interested to monitor how the fuel cell system operates at extreme altitudes.

Testing has been on-going since the start of the year with plans for a commercial launch later this year - the brand already has a commercial electric truck, called the eDelivery.

This is a result of Rotala winning contracts for franchised bus services under Transport for Greater Manchester’s new Bee Network, which is set to launch in September this year.
