The retrofitted fuel-cell electric bus is currently operating in a ten-week test and demonstration programme in two locations in England, as part of a project supported by UK Research and Innovation.

The project, named ‘Symbio H2 Central Valley Express’, involves the development of a prototype hydrogen truck - intended to match the performance of a 15-litre diesel truck - which will be tested on a 400-mile route from the second half of 2023.

The Special Vehicles division of Terberg successfully tested an autonomous terminal tractor in mixed traffic operations at the Lineage Logistics terminal in Vlissingen, Netherlands, using technology supplied by EasyMile.

Scanian announced that it will put a 64-tonne electric truck-trailer combination into operation with customer Dagab Inköp & Logistik AB, a logistics provider for grocery firm Axfood AB of Stockholm, Sweden.

Under TMB’s “Strategic Plan 2025”, 100% of vehicle purchases by TMB will be low-emission vehicles, with 62% of them expected to be zero-emission.

MAN, Knorr-Bremse, and Bosch are working together in a research and development project, called ATLAS-L4, with the aim of putting autonomous trucks on German motorways by the middle of the decade.

MAN will take part in the state-sponsored 'Bayernflotte' project which brings together partners including Bosch, Faurecia, and ZF in the development of fuel-cell electric trucks.

The South Korean Ministry for Land, Infrastructure & Transport in late December 2021 announced that trials of hydrogen fuel-cell trucks in real logistics operating environments had begun to help determine accurately the full eco-system requirements before these vehicles are introduced commercially.  

BEST is procuring 900 all-electric double-deck buses all fitted with air conditioning, under the terms of a 'wet lease' contract over a period of 12 years.

The trial, the first of its kind in the country, of the battery-electric truck is being conducted by Fulda University of Applied Sciences in the Rhine-Main Metropolitan Region.

The UK engineering consultancy is leading a consortium of partners including Meritor, PolyCharge America, and Danfoss Silicon Power to produce a U.S. Class 8 truck.

The order was made as part of a state-sponsored project in Carinthia which seeks to foster the development of a hydrogen economy.
